If you're a pilot looking for a kneeboard, look elsewhere! While named, 'Pilotpad,' this item was not meant for them.I know because I keep this item in my helmet bag. Don't let my opening comments fool you, I love this thing. While the straps around back make it available as a kneeboard, it really is too big. It COULD be used as a kneeboard, which is why I bought it. I use it as a bit of a backup. I keep an extra flight computer, some reference notes, sectional plotter, ear pro, flight physical document and others inside the pockets of the Pilotpad. In fact, you can keep a VFR sectional in the right side pocket, and only have it stick out about an inch out the top.It holds many extras in my flight bag for me, while still retaining the ability to be a kneeboard; should I forget or break my normal one (it has a big leg strap on the rear). The mini legal pad size is the same as you would find in the real world and I will likely use this pad for quick notes and doodling in meetings, eventually. For now, it's the perfect size to sit in my helmet bag and give me the extra confidence I need that I have everything I need for a flight. I really love this item and it is as described. The quality is great, the description accurate and if you think this item will fit your needs, I would recommend you give it a try. It was exactly what I wanted.
